NEEL SAHAI - CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Neel is a Co-Founder, Director and CEO of Green Island, helping design and drive forward the business strategy. Neel is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW). He spent eight years working for PwC in both Jersey and Sydney, Australia before returning to Jersey in 2004 and has spent the last 16 years in the finance industry in Jersey, as a shareholder and director of a large Trust Company.
GORDON BLAKE - HEAD OF CULTIVATION
Gordon has 15 years of experience in commercial growing. Working in all areas of the business, his passion and skills excel in cultivation. Prior to working in horticulture, Gordon’s background is in sales and marketing. This has fused together very well and he has used these skills and his charisma to build some excellent working relationships with both customers and suppliers.
TANNER CASSIDY - HEAD OF PRODUCTION AND CULTIVATION ADVISOR
Tanner has over 20 years experience in the Cannabis industry in Canada and Europe. As well as extensive cultivation experience, including indoor, glasshouse and outdoor growing, he is an expert in extraction and manufacturing of cannabis products, having worked in leading extraction businesses in Canada developing innovative product ranges to meet patient needs.
SCOTT SMITH - QUALIFIED PERSON
Scott has over 30 years in the Pharma industry, including over 10 years as a QP at a leading UK based medical cannabis manufacturer. Scott will be primarily responsible for overseeing our Quality Department and QP batch release.
DAVE RICHARDSON - GLASSHOUSE MANAGER
Dave brings years of experience managing large commercial glasshouses and will manage the effective operation of Green Islands hi-tech, hybrid glasshouse.
DAVID BLAKE - CO-FOUNDER
Director and owner of Three Oaks Vineries Ltd. David has been growing his whole life, learning from his grandfather since the 1950s. With the family, they built some of the first glasshouses on the island. David exported beef tomatoes to some of the large UK supermarket chains until 2005. After this he decided to diversify the glasshouses and focus on the local market. Working alongside the local coops he has expanded the product lines to peppers, aubergines, beans, courgettes, and chillies. Throughout his career, David has experienced many changes within the horticultural industry and has evolved and immersed himself with the new technology and developments the industry has been undertaking.
NINA BLAKE - CO-FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Director of Three Oaks Vineries, Nina joined the family business full time 7 years ago alongside her father and brother to help run the business and continue to take it forward. Nina begun her career in hospitality after gaining a degree in business and qualifying as a chef. She has always had a passion for growing and working with produce whether being in the kitchen or on the farm. She created a small business alongside the farm which links in well by utilising the surplus fruit and vegetables to create sauces and ketchups.
ANDREW HAMON - CO-FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Director and owner of an established local engineering company, AH engineers Ltd. Andrew has been involved in the horticultural industry in the Channel Islands for over twenty years. He is a qualified mechanical engineer who has extensive knowledge in both glasshouse and indoor growing environments.
GEORGE MACARI - CO-FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
George is bringing his experience, contacts and sales knowledge to the Green Island Team. He is the Director of a management agency that includes clients such as celebrity footballers and chef, Marco Pierre - White. He has various well established links into the medical cannabis industry in the UK, US, Canada, Australia, Carribean and Israel.
